Technology is at the roots a Science working with Math. Physics and complex Quantitative skills. Complex but discoverable, intriguing and deep, a hub for problem solvers who like to innovate fom within a general framework. These attributes and others being the important role of communications make Technology a great skill to connect through.

Project Mangement and Business Analysis, it starts at the Begining (from a programmer's perspective):
My Father was a Main Frame Programmer (with strong Mathementics and Physics Apptitude, a Former Huey Chopper Pilot and Paratrooper, a former college football player who once Auditioned for not one but two NFL teams but then signed up to something much bigger and in later years reconnected and became an International Rugger (that's Football with No Pads in case you missed it), who got in on the ground floor with the original wave of Computer Innovation. Who designed some key applications that are still behind the systems today and who took a shot at the First Run on using multiple display windows, who economized with memory to efficiently program and save memory (a theory which was driven by then memory costs and differs from todays memory consumptive software) and who beyond designing many business applications including an Accounting System at one point sought to pioneer a program for the Restaurant Industry well ahead of it's time.
His advanced knowledge with program had me working with an Apple PC programming with basic and working with an overal perspective of programming from a young edge. I made a test program with various call and response options, if then statements as decision points and a key understanding of command line functional programming.
Later I independently studied C++ and learned more about
various elements of programs, function calls, array, data tables, and more to follow here soon.

Programming has been around for along time and we never get that far away from remembering that everything you see here reduces to 0s and 1s in processing. I am not sure we will ever reach an expert level in that direction but there is always a comfort level with using tools like SQL on databases and some other skills on the lighter level with Visual Basic, C++ , HTML and other interests.
You could count that as a value added skill to connect with the broad understanding of the Programmers world and to consider efficient pathways where we can help connect business and technology.
From a continued interest level we follow technology updates and always work to upgrade those skills, seeing new developments.
The experience of pre-implementation analysis on Peoplesoft as well as posting Entries on the system gave us a broad opportunity to look behind the user Interfaces to the data tables and architecture structure, the loaders and report processes that pushed and pulled data from systems.
The Output Data Sets will only ever be as good as the input data set, and it is your code that tells you what is happening with live data.

Until Quickbooks cornered the market on easy to use solutions we considered designing an Accounting Software due to the inefficiencies we saw in Accounting and Financial programs so we are open to work with developers in that direction where you have ideas for new areas.
